RE: Does mv_min_string not work for anyone else?

******    message to minivend-users from "Thompson-Jordan" <Thompson-Jordan@mindspring.com>     ******

I haven't been able to get mv_min_string to work either. RedHat Linux; MV
3.12. I figured I wasn't doing something right, so instead I check for
null searches on the results page which proved a little tricky. Here is
the search.profile and form in which the mv_min_string has no effect. I've
tried it without a search.profile, but it was the same. Maybe someone can
see what I don't have right.

__NAME__ quicksearch

mv_searchtype=text
mv_search_field=name,keywords
mv_min_string=4

__END__

<form ACTION=[process-search] METHOD=POST>
	<input type=hidden name=mv_doit value=submit>
	<input type=hidden name=mv_profile value=quicksearch>
	<input TYPE=text NAME=mv_searchspec size=15 maxlength=15 value="">
	<input type=image name=mv_todo src="/images/go.gif" alt=Go! border=0
align=absmiddle VALUE=Search>
</form>
