running cgi-script from minivend page

Hello all,
I would like to run a cgi-script from a minivend page. I have tried to do this as follows:
[perl]
[include file="/my_cgi_directory/xxx.cgi"]
[/perl]
This obviously doesn't work.
I'm running minivend 3.12 on Caldera 2.2 with apache 1.3.6.
Anybody got a clue on how to do this ???
