I have had some similar results. Where when I sort by four fields
department, category, brand, item name, the first three sort fine, and the
forth one does sometimes and doesn't other times. You always get the same
results, but it is never correct.
You may try looking in the tmp directory at the temp search results files,
I have found the search results to be dead on, but when it gives it back
to Minivend to parse into pages and send back to the user it messes them
up.
I tried speaking to Mike about this, but he basicly didn't believe me, and
said in as many words he didn't have the time to look into the bug. This
only seems to happen in the 3.12 Beta series, 3.11 sorts fine.
I still have yet to find a work around for search profile based searches.
I have managed to find a work around for one click searches. If you want
to send me more info on what you are doing, I will try and help you with
what I have found.
