After looking at the "MiniVend Frontend" page, I realized a free tool my
company has developed called db_browser will be useful for Minivend
users maintaining catalogs in SQL databases.
  db_browser is written in Perl and uses DBI, which means if you use
Minivend and SQL, it already works on your system! After a simple
configuration, you can easily add, edit, and delete entries from any
existing tables. The software is dynamic-- automatically figuring out
your column names, etc, so it's very flexible. 
  It currently displays all search results on a single page, tho, which
means it's not always great for large catalogs.
