PLEASE help: &tag_data()

Hi!

Is there nobody out there who could tell me how to use the &tag_data()
routine? I would like to use it in the CommonAdjust string. The
documentation says it would be available, but it does not say what it does
or how it works...

I tried the following in a test-page to find out how it works (the source
code of Vend::Interpolate::tag_data looks like it):

[tag touch products][/tag]
[perl interpolate=1]
my $code='1';
my $out = tag_data('products','description','code',$code);
# This one didn't work either:
# my $out = tag_data('products','description',$code);
$out;
[/perl]

But all I get is a "Safe: 2" error message in the error.log?

Any ideas? Please? Anybody?
