The page "look" is the responsibility of the individual that designed
it. That is not an indication of the capability if the shopping cart
system. I do not know of any "big companies" personally, but I believe
MiniVend to be the best, most configurable system around, and I have
surveyed plenty of the so-called commercial systems. It is a pain in the
butt to learn, but so far I am extremely impressed with its capability.
Our system is still in the design and development stages but I presently
have a test bed site running with no problems, that is managing a retail
system featuring 121,000 separate items. There are likely much larger
sites out there. Good luck with your own project.
