Speeding up MV

Does some one know a way to speed up the way MV read and analyze the
products file?

I meane on a 100 Products , it takes me about 12 seconds, until full screen
is displayed (over internet)
7 seconds (local), and the server is dedicated to MV and i think its damn
fast

2 x intel Pentium II 350Mhz processors
SCSI Cheeta (10,000 RPM) SCSI LVD2 Drive
128MB RAM (can be exapnded easyly)...

and ideas?

If i will move to sql will it work faster?
Is the Memory option is better than files on hard-drives (if so can sombady
help me implemting it)

Oh... using winNT 4.0, IIS4 & Active perl 5.04

are there other & faster perl interpreters than ActiveState??
