Server Side Include

Hello,
I tried using Server Side include in order to include some text in the
flypage...i used something like
<!--#include file="about.html" -->
but it didnt worked, it didnt give me an error....nothing happened....
is there a minivend way to do this??  I dont really know how to tell
minivend to call an shtml file...or should i just change the flypage.html to
flypage.shtml and configure the .htaccess file to accept SSI??
