Check for the existence of last_search.html in the pages-direcory.
Also make sure the continue shopping-link points to the same page.

The only thing I can think of right now is you deleted it.

another possibility is that your search-functionality is somehow
screwed up, but that wouldn't be my guess.

BTW. to actually be able to return to the search-page last visited
include [set mv_put_session]1[/set] on the page you want to qualify
as "last-page".
