sql userdb..was working
****** message to minivend-users from Chet Rebman <chet@cwe.com> ******
Hello all,
A few hours ago I had an SQL version of usrdb working...and it just worked...
I was so excited :-)
However while adding new fields and working with it I seem to have broke it.
Now when I starting the catalog it says....
Configuring catalog test...table userdb created: create table userdb (
code char(16),
password char(128),
name char(128),
time char(128),
....(the rest if the fields)
}
Then it immediately errors out with....
table userdb index failed: Table 'minivend.userdb' doesn't exist
mlcatdevelop config error: Table 'minivend.userdb' doesn't exist
The permissions for the database have not changed. I do notice that minivend is now
creating the file products/new_userdb.sql where it originaly created the file
products/userdb.sql which makes me think there is some setting that was created
the first time I can't get cleared out.
I tried starting over by going back to the default usersdb database, using gdbm
which works fine. However I can no longer create the SQL userdb table.
It worked the first time I did it...but I can't seem to do it again. I have tried
stoping the server and restarting it, expire_all, creating the table userdb before
starting the catalog, deleting the *.sql files, deleting the session database etc
in an attempt to start over...but it keeps failing.
Thanks, Chet
