Category scan

Hi im trying to scan my categories but the problem is that i get back
the same categories more then once.

How can i limit the search so when its already used the category X it
wont retrive it again ??

this is what i done

   "]

    [page scan
                        sf=category
                 se=[loop-field category]]
                        [loop-field category]<BR><BR>
  [/page]
