Don't know if you got an answer for this, but with I've done this I think I had to put the search parameter in a strange spot. Something like below. Check docs.

 

www.mysite.com/cgi-bin/simple/search?;mysearch;

Hi All,
    I can't seem to figure out for some strange reason how to do a search from a non-minivend page into the MV products catalog... basically I would like a text search from the index.html page on the main site before people actually go into the catalog.  Any ideas?
