Shipping and locale.. there's a bug either in the demo ....

Hello all,

I still haven't found what i've been looking for.

In my shipping database i have enter the price in $ , for example 10$

It the locale is set to en_US, then it put me 10 $ in the shipping combo,
but if the locale is set to fr_FR, then, the price become 10 Francs ..
there's no conversion. I just have a look to the demo, and it make the same
thing .. Is this a bug ? Can we correct it ?
