Could not tie to session

Hi,
    I have just changed host providers for my web site and upgraded to
minivend 12 from 11 in the process.  I had a modified version of the
sample demo catalog for display but since changin over I  cannot get
either the demonstration catalog (simple) or a modified version of the
sample catalog to work.

I have basically copied over the minivend.cfg and catalog.cfg files as
is.  I can get the server to run no problems and are have the vlink
program set uid.  I am starting the server with the same user id as the
vlink program.

I am running perl version 5.004
linux redhat version 5.1
apache web server 1.3.4

I keep getting the following errors :

In the minivend error.log (in vend root) :

[19/April/1999:03:58:25 -0400] sample /cgi-bin/sample.cgi Runtime error:
Could not tie to /home/webstud/catalogs/sample/session:

[21/April/1999:10:10:18 -0400] sample /cgi-bin/sample.cgi Died in server
spawn: Could not tie to /home/webstud/catalogs/sample/session:

In the catalog error.log :

[20/April/1999:10:08:35 -0400] sample /cgi-bin/sample.cgi/catalog
Runtime error: Could not tie to /home/webstud/catalogs/sample/session:

Could someone please point out the obvious problem that I have with the
setup or is aware of what could cause this situation.
