Re: Denial of service attack
****** message to minivend-users from "Brian T. Allen" <brian@purenetfx.com> ******
Hey All,
I have been getting the same thing from SOL, and I don't appreciate it.
The just don't play by the rules. They aren't playing with the other
children. Maybe if 3,000 minivend users all sent them an email, and all of
their friends...
They hit one of my cgi scripts 400 times in a row, every 3 seconds. I
don't know of a solution. You don't want to deny them all-together, it is
nice to be listed in directories and search engines, but not at that price.
Here is the one that hit me:
spider-tq054.proxy.aol.com
Good Luck,
Brian
