Transferring from one MV site/database to Another as seamless as possible

I believe the title says it all and I'm not real optimistic about an
answer because I'm pretty sure this isn't possible, but has anyone
successfully migrated an active session, with an empty basket, to
another computer in another domain running MV? If so, how? Load
everything in cookies and initiate a restart page at the second site?
