RE: Runtime error: Couldn't move...
****** message to minivend-users from "Russ" <russ@khouse.org> ******
When I get this error it stops the catalog from working and everyone gets a
server error. I'd say thats a 'serious problem'. So far no one knows what
it means or how to fix it.

Subject: Runtime error: Couldn't move...
****** message to minivend-users from lee@netguide.net ******
Very occasionally I am seeing an error like this in the main minivend
error log (names changed):
kbu-43-14.tm.net.my UC5cFaKG:net.my - [02/April/1999:19:59:42 -0700]
foo www.foo.com/cgi-bin/foo/700770036 Runtime error: Couldn't move
'/path/to/foo/catalogs/foo/products/new_products.db'
to '/path/to/foo/catalogs/foo/products/products.db': No such file or
directory
>
This error is logged from Vend/Data.pm where it looks like it is
updating the db file from a recently uploaded products.asc file. It looks
like this error is only temporary and the new db file is created on a
subsequent access, but I am curious as to how this error is happening.
Could it be when the products.asc file is being uploaded by the user
perhaps? Does anyone else want to guess why it's happening? I just want
to make sure it's essentially harmless and isn't a symptom of some other
more serious problem I might have with my setup.
Regards,
Lee.
