Setup on Redhat 5.2

Hi all,
I am having a tough time configuring MINIVEND 3.12beta13. I have
untarred the binary on my Linux machine and the directory "3.12beta13 is
created. From there, I typed "./configure" and the program creates extra
directories within the initial directory.
My problem comes after this. The program asks me to connect to CPAN but
says that it is not necessary. I tried answering yes and no to the
following prompts:
get term:readkeymodule
get term:readline::perl modules
get md5 module
get sql:statement module
get mime:base64 module
get url::url module
They result is always:
can't open perl script "configure.pl" no such file or directory
Can someone help me? I would really appreciate it since I have been
working with this problem for a few days.
