Lovely!
Tell support they are stupid and should try again. If you have write access
to minivend files they have opened up the system to give you full root
access.
Depending whether minivend should be used by multiple users or only
yourself there are two ways to fix this:
Single user (you):
Everything minivend shoud be chown you:yourgroup
Multi user:
There should be a user minivend and a group mvusers. Minivend should be
installed by this user
Currently the problem is, when minivend starts as root, it would have
access to it's files, but of course would also have access to everything
else on the system. When it starts as a different user, it no longer has
access to it's own files and thus won't start properly or at all.
