Birgitt,
    You would definately want to do file locking, etc.  That is what I do with Minivend Front
End... our commercial product that allows users to add, edit, and delete the Minivend
databases, along with a complete upload of a MV database...  File locking is necessary, as
person A and person B could be editing the same record at the same time; Flock'ing elminates
the possibility of having problems occur. :-)
