We are doing this now. I just set my web server on my secure machine to listen
to port 80 as well as 443 and am using the default location for web pages.
I am also arping other virtual hosts on there too. Minivend it soo slow to
build entire web pages for a site in my opinion. It is just great for creating
the catalogs

I had not thought of using the Minivend search engine but we installed
WWWAIS on ours to do searches. Itr is configurable by type and directory,
allowing me to create custom search criteria. Plus it is much faster at returning the
results of the search. You can use it to include or exclude directories in the
search. It seems to work fine in conjunction with the Minivend Search Engine.
