Secure Server

I know this has been asked a lot but I still can't get this to work.  The
server I am on has me use
https://lapis.site-secure.net/mydomain/anypage.html to access my pages via
the secure server (which works fine) and my secure cgi-bin is
https://lapis.site-secure.net/cgi-mydomain/ This just won't work for me in
minivend.  It all works fine with my normal
http://www.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/minivend  This is the same server just
different domain names and I am running Minivend-3.12beta.  What am I doing
wrong?  Do I have to buy my own certificate to make it work?
