Re: Can't seem to get started.
****** message to minivend-users from "Rob Zimmerman" <rob@readysite.net> ******
Well here is how I started...not long ago either....first I got the demo running
the way I wanted using SSL and PGP. Then I made my base web designs
that would present my customers products. Then I made a database of their
products basically mimicking that of product.asc in the demo. Then I began
pluging away at the minivend templates. Starting with the catalog.html. The
browse, search functions, each call a seperate templates in the page dir.
Then using my template I plugged in the data from the demo template into
mine, testing all the way. The templates are all under the page dir, except
there are a few in the etc dir.
I figure the best way to learn this package for me is to first modify the demo
package for a live storefront. This should give a good basic understanding of
the package without getting carried away and more important, a good
understanding of how to use the docs, this list and the archived list
messages. :-)
Looks like im posting to much to the list though,.... I gotta get a life.....not till
I finish this first store......hehehehe
Good luck Pat,
Rob
