I had the same problem, tried expiring the sessions every
night. It seemed like it helped the first time, but then
it just got slow again.

I ended up adding a ton more memory. This appeared to fix
the problem. I think after a while MV creeps in to swap, then
it slows like a dog. Its been running great for several
weeks now. My system is the same as yours but I am running
MV 3.11. Try more memory.
