Setting up Mysal Part II

After Part I, I would like to know how to set up references to
images for minivend pages to display. I assumed that 'sample' was a cgi
script that could tell perl to pull up an image off the hard drive based on
a scalar variable input to a SKU or catalogue number. The 'sample' file is
an unreadable binary.

Where do I configure minivend pages to read dynamic queries of particular
database fields, based on user input?
