hi, thanks for the couple of tips, but if you were still thinking about
the vlink errors, i've got another machine and loaded redhat 5.1, which
has perl 5004.04 and minivend goes further than vlink and tlink errors.
i've got another error though, but it's on the minivend mail list. i'm
trying to have the machine as "vanilla" as possible to eliminate
anything that could cause errors.
