You advice sounds right, especially since when I've gotten DBI to work
in other contexts, using a similar format to what you describe. Sadly
this syntax didn't work (resulted in the same error: simple config
error: Can't locate object method "create_table" via pack
age "Vend::Table::DBI" at /usr/home/minivend/lib/Vend/Data.pm line 422,
<IN> chunk 1. )
I tried
Database products products.asc dbi:Pg dbname=minivend
host=liver.infocom.com port=5432
and
Database products products.asc dbi:Pg:dbname=minivend:host=liver.infocom.com:port=5432
(since I've gotten DBI to work with colon seperators in other contexts)
Neither worked.
I checked that both minivend and the store owner have privilege to
connect to the database and create a table. I do get the following
warning when connect via psql, but it's not causing a problem in
anything else:
"/usr/libexec/ld.so: warning: /usr/lib/libncurses.so.3.0: minor version
0 older than expected 1, using it anyway"
Since you've done a postgres DBI setup, would you mind sending a sample
working catalog.cfg file, and perhaps what your database permissions
are? It's much appreciated.
