[ic] Adding a new field?

I would like to add a "Brands" field so customers can shop by brands or by
category. Right now my categories are set up withthe default IC settings,
but I just need to know where to add the brand name field. It doesn't need
to be seen by customers, it just needs to be in the spreadsheet so I can set
up the advanced search to "Shop by Brand".
