[ic] How to subcategorize ??

   I have a list of categories in the left menu of my page:

Area1
-cat1
-cat2 
Area2
-cat3
-cat4
 
  ..and I would to achieve to things:
      - display the current location  like "home -> Area1 -> cat1"
      - when  cat1 is selected, I only get cat1's subcategories, not on the 
left part of the menu, but inside the main page. The left menu remains always 
the same.

I dont know how to do this. Any help is appreciated.
