Kyle, allow me to toss in two cents rather late in the game. If I caught the
thread correctly, your MV process is hanging until the session is hammered
during the mail notification process of the order, and that it works fine for
everyone but earthlink folks...
I had a similar situations for two different examples; one domain I was
intentionally blocking all e-mail to and from them because of SPAM, so this
created problems with MV. I suppose that I should setup MV to not allow e-mail
addresses with blocked domains, but that would be a huge maintenance task.
Perhaps with IC, a module could be added to link to the blackhole services?
The second situation was a screw up on my part where DNS was not resolving
correctly. My sendmail agent had problems because DNS was not caching and
finding the root hints, so it would stall for very long periods of time. I
only learned of the mistake after bounce messages were reported to postmaster.
