minivend on debian linux is no big deal.  There might even be a package
by now, though many, including myself, have tried (and failed).  There are
a number of reasons behind that: mostly too much customization.
The tarball from minivend.com is easier.  Install all the perl packages
you need as debs.  Mysql too.
