I am developing a site which will give demonstration software,  and sell
registration keys for the software, as two reasonably distinct functions.

The demonstration software can only be downloaded after a collection of
details is entered by the user;  (the same details would also need to be
entered to get the associated key).

However,  for the demonstration software,  I want to abstract away from a
shopping cart, so it is more like an interface for downloading software;
which will need quite distinct html from the keys component;  so I will need
to break it into 2 different catalogues.

What will I need to do to get the two catalogues to share the same set of
user data?

Also,  am I going to be able to remove shipping information from everywhere,
given that nothing is ever going to be shipped ?
