Hi!
I am not such a smart guy, but try to figure my explantion....
If you installed Access, you should have a "ODBC data sources" icon in the
control panel...,
I am not sure this is working in Access 97, but i am sure in access 2000 it
works...
Go to this icon, double click..., in the DSN tab, double click on Text
Files,
then point to the Minivend PRODUCTS directory, and to the products.asc
table.
Then click on "Options", then "Define Format".

After that you will see all the fields that exists in your products.asc
file, declare each
one of them as what type field it is (text, numbers, date... whatever)...

If you will load now access, and desing a new table you can tell access that
the source
is a ODBC table, then choose the table we just made... and u can work on the
table via
access and it will be update on-line..., no need to upload or etc...

BTW: it works great even if two users are working same time on the table...

I know i might been missing an option or somthing like that, but its very
easy
to press F1 while in Windows..., you will have to excuse me for that, since
for last month all systems in my home, Are Linux...

Good Luck,
Eran Binyamin Zeitoun.

I was wondering if anyone is using minivend with an a ms access database
for the products db. I am trying to somehow interface minivend to work
such a db on a win95 machine running minivend 3.14.
If anyone has some tips, pointers or even warnings that could be helpful i
would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.

Aboubacar.
