To get that prompt you have to configure your web server appropriately
(see the example on the MiniMate homepage, please note that I fixed
a bug in the documentation, so ensure that you get the current version).

This is completely up to you, e.g.

cd /usr/local/mvend/lib/MiniMate/pages
for dir in config admin; do
    echo "Minimate documentation has to be improved, make suggestions" > .access
done
