Do you think the functionality of MiniMate would be enhanced by using
stylesheets, or just the "prettiness"? If it's just for aesthetics, I
would be very wary of using something that isn't supported on all
browsers, let alone consistent amongst them, as you will end up making
MiniMate unusable for some people for no good reason. People don't use
MiniMate because it looks good. ;)

In summary, if you want to use style sheets, just make damn sure that
MiniMate still works 100% ok with something like Lynx. ;) (As an aside
that is how I judge web designers ability when I hire them; I submit one
of their sample sites to the "Lynx test". If their site still looks ok
and is 95% functional, then you can safely assume they've been around a
while and have a good handle on what a designing a "good" site entails.)

          Lee.

P.S. I'm not for or against style sheets yet, but I have read some very
interesting arguments against them. e.g. If I'm visually impaired,
there's a very good reason I have set my browsers default fonts, etc to a
certain type and size. I certainly wouldn't need the hassle of going to
site where the designer in their infinite wisdom has decided that
everybody must view a document in a certain way.
