Specific searches

Hello everyone,

I am attempting to search a database field for a very specific item,
such as "abc"  However, when I set-up the search for "abc" I not only
get the results I want, but I get all other entries including the
literal expression "abc"  That is I get the results "abc def" or
"whatever abc".  I only want specific items "abc" nothing else.  (so I
want the entire field to match, not parts of the fields).

I have tried as many combinations as possible, but any suggestions would
be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may
have.  I'm sure people have had this problem before.
