stop shopping: erase all information

In the simple demo you can choose stop shopping form the shopping cart. After this it is possible to select Erase All Information. I've tried this in the minivend simple demo on my system, the simple demo on the mininvend website and my own shop.
When I press the button all that is done is that i'm logged out. When I log in again, the shop still knows all my information as address and name, etc. This while mentioned:

"If you click Erase All Information, your name, address, and credit card information will be removed from our system. You will have to enter it again to buy anything."

Can anyone explain this?? I want to implement a function for the users to delete themselves from my users database. How should I do this??
