I wouldn't jump in, but I don't want myths propagated on the
list without answer.

The docs clearly state that in most cases:

	[sql-field ...]

is the same as 

	[sql-data products ....]

But not the same as:

	[sql-data other_table ...]

but that if you want to address data outside the products table
you must use sql-data.

There are reasons for the difference, but you have to read the docs
for this.

And you can do selects to any table that any MV has a table in.

Bottom line:
	
	MiniVend can access any SQL table.
	MiniVend global UserTags can access any DBI function.

I don't see where the problem is other than the lack of understanding
about what [sql-field ...] is.
