Redirecting Error messages /Please Help/

Hi everyone!

I've been fighting with this forever...
is there a way to redirect error output from ERROR.LOG to the screen?

everyone knows what [userdb login] does...
except! when you put in [set xxx] ... [/set], it works great, but if you
just put somewhere else on the page...  it works but all error messages
it produces (Password doesn't match, Password is too short... username
doesn't exist.... etc...) instead of being written to [data session
failure], just get written to the error.log, and minivend comes with 500
server error.... please, people... anyway to fix it?
