errors on starting mvend

hi list,

am a new mvend user on a RH 6.0 and have some trouble to
get started mvend.

linuxconf give me these messages :

in /etc/profile I have added that PATH :  /usr/local/mvend/lib

my "locale" looks like this :

LANG=de
LC_CTYPE="de_DE"
LC_NUMERIC="de_DE"
LC_TIME="de_DE"
LC_COLLATE="de_DE"
LC_MONETARY="de_DE"
LC_MESSAGES="de_DE"
LC_ALL=de_DE      

and HTML/Entities.pm is here : 
/usr/local/mvend/lib/HTML/Entities.pm

Now, I don't know, whats going on here. If I try to set
LANGUAGE, the system ignors that setting.

What I have to do here - what can I do ?

Can I find any README's for starting the Environment ?
Where all the PATHES and SETTINGS have to be ?

Your help would be very welcome - indeed.
