Re: Fw: [mv] Problem report, error 404, no access to catalog
Hi,
I am no expert in minivend but hope to become one....but i did install it
and run it succesfully in Linux and Unix BSDI....if you have access to
telnet and ftp in your virtual server, then i dont think the problem is
unix....i do use UNIX instead of INET without problems....
Also, you dont need to administer UNIX 'deeply' because it seems your isp
lets you do all you need to do in order to get it working....
Are you using the correct base-html directory??? Error 404 is not
minivend's......the page is not found, and the first page the catalog
creates is quite simple....and if minivend is hung or 'off' you will recieve
a message from the cgi saying the minivend server is down...
Check again if you did the correct thing in the configuration.....with the
directories....maybe you installed the program using another directory? and
try doing a telnet or ftp and check if the files are there....like i told
you, the first page created by the simple demo is straight html.....it will
appear without minivend.....or cgi
IF there is a problem with perl, or permissions, im sure the problem would
appear in the installation/configuration, and not afterwards.
I hope this helps, i hope you dont become crazy........
Regards
