Ven,

I would check the basics like: is there data in the database? is the
database configured properly in catalog.cfg? is there a name clash? is the
[search-list] set up correctly on your results page?

You should use [item-data] with a database other than products. I also
note there is a typo in you search.

 scan/fi=locally/sp=results3/sf=locally/tr=company/ml=20/cs=no/se=yes
                                        ^^
I assume you mean tf=company.
