Additional Int'l Shipping Charges - Tips?
Howdy,
Getting close to completion with a minivend site, and I'm wondering how
people are dealing with international shipping via UPS. My US rates are set
up, but I'm looking over the international stuff and the UPS web site has
the following:
Additional Charges - International 1999 Rate
Bill Duty/Tax & Shipping Chgs to Shipper ............ $15.00
Certificate of Origin ............................... $10.00
Currency Conversion Rate ............................ 0.75% (of amount
converted)
Delivered Duty Paid, V.A.T. Unpaid .................. $15.00
Dimensional Weight Factor - International ........... 166
Express Plus Surcharge .............................. $40.00
Extended Area Surcharge ............................. Greater of $20 or
$0.20 per pound
Freight Collect Refusal - International ............. $10.00
Shipper's Export Declaration ........................ $10.00
Ship Notification Request ........................... $0.75 each
I was going to jump right in and set up a UPS-style lookup for international
orders based on zones and rates, but then saw the above info and am now
thinking this could get very complicated. Anyone else dealing with all this
stuff? Care to share!?
