NT considerations
Dear MiniVend Community,
I'm rather new to Minivend. I see that big effort has been made to
improve the software. I have to test its functionality and rate the
different working environments. First I downloaded version 3.14-3 NT/Win32
platform. It works (NT4SP4, Activestate Perl), but I read a few articles
about the weakness of NT based sites (e.g. lack of fork() and multithreading
support in Perl or problem with memory leakage etc.)
I would appreciate your personal experience/opinion - as user or developer -
on operating NT based Minivend sites (number of concurrent users, computing
resources, need for daily restart etc.)
