RE: What can Minivend Do?



Out of the box, Minivend is a system to sell famous art via unencrypted
email orders. :-)

Seriously, Minivend can be customized to do many things, including all of
the things you mentioned. Theoretically anything you can do in Perl, you
can do in Minivend.

The downloads, price breaks, and membership level are fairly
straightforward. The rebilling would probably be implemented outside
Minivend, accessing databases used by Minivend. As for speed, SQL is not
necessarily faster, but can be on large databases and complex searches.
There are many ways to speed up Minivend. Some of the basic ones are
covered in the FAQ.
