While computers sometimes really give very stupid error messages, the cause
for this problems seems somewhat obvious. Have you considered to check
whether the file was transfered completely? The normal DOS ftp client may
play a funny sound after a transfer, this simply indicates that it stopped
file transfer, not that the transfer was successful.
If you install on the site anyway, ftp from the site and compare file size
after transfer.
