Install Problems

Hi,
I have started to set up a site with MiniVend as the shopping cart, but so
far things aren't going too well.

I've got full telnet access, and the usual.  Here is what I did:

I downloaded the Unix file for Minivend 3.14 from the site, and uploaded it
in Binary form to a directory on the site. I then telnetted in and cd'd to
the directory where the file was. Ii typed the following:

gzip -dc minivend-latest.tar.gz | tar xvf -

Things started well, with it unzipping a lot of the files, but then the
unzip suddenly ended with the error:
minivend-3.14/extra/URI/
minivend-3.14/extra/URI/URL.pm

gzip: minivend-latest.tar.gz: unexpected end of file
tar: Unexpected EOF on archive file
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

Does anyone know what is causing this?
I have tried it a few times with no success, in different folders, e.t..c.
