Considering the many suggestions to change the cgi to mode 755, you might
want to make sure that the cgi is actually 4755 (i.e. suid is set) and is
owned by the minivend user.

While you are at checking ownership and permission check that the minivend
user has read/write access to the products directory and all files in this
directory, read/write access to the log files, read access to all other
catalog related stuff.

As has been indicated the daemon and the cgi are not talking to each other.
Other than the cgi ownership/permission it could be incorrect access paths.
Check whether all access paths in the cfg files are correct. Checking does
not mean you have looked at them, or checked whether the path exists, but
you are sure that the correct information is in there, according to the
examples and documentation.

If you have moved the mvend directory at any time, you need to recompile
the cgi with the new paths in the configuration files. This will usually
mean you run configure.

Good hunting, Frank
