Hmm, I have a Pentium 166 and have totally unacceptable performance with
the checkout page.  There is a big pause (10 seconds+) before getting into
SSL.  Then, it takes another few seconds to bring up the checkout page.
Once the user hits on "place order", several more seconds go by before the
receipt page comes up.  

Admittedly, my checkout and receipt pages are not terribly small (20k+ for
the checkout page).  

Anyone have any tips about caching?  I have most of our data in databases
and am wondering if I should have it put everything in memory.  Any
thoughts?
