The key issue is "I am confident, I can learn fast" (and you need plenty
of patience, too).

If you are seious about being confident and you really learn fast, then
MV is a fascionating environment. The danger is, you get hooked...

My recepee: 
1. Read the docs 100 times and again. You learn every time.
2. Follow this mailing list daily, you learn the rest.

The result: you can create shops with practically no limitations!
